SUMMER!

Savoring ice cream, and popsicles, and other yummy cold foods!

Unbelievable times with friends and cousins at pools and the beach!

Many games of tag, capture the flag, hide and seek, and most of all...water gun fights!

Maybe reading or writing...but only if I feel like it!

Entering the pool with a rather large splash!

Remembering the past school year, and looking forward to the one to come!

Campfire at Woodland Altars

Sparks fly up and into the air.

Mr. Gerken says he has no more knuckle hair.

We laugh at this statement and watch the teachers make s'mores,

Enjoying our time in the great outdoors.

I look up and into the sky.

I see all the stars and let out a contented sigh.

There are so many of them--too many to count.

I am having tons of fun, without a doubt.

My voice sings up and into the air.

Here I can quietly sing, and no one will care.

I love to sing in the campfire's light.

It makes the light seem a little more bright.

The peaceful feeling soars up and into the sky,

Even as the fire begins to die.

The teachers and students try to take in the sight,

Before everything fades into deep night.
