Lexington Children's Theatre Companies

Laughing people having fun are here!

Everyone is super nice and friendly!

Xtreme fun is what we have!

Individuals can be individual!

No one will laugh AT you, only WITH you!

Great friendships are formed!

Together we do some crazy cool things!

Only at LCT can you have so much fun!

Neverending fun is what we have!

Cavemen we are sometimes...literally!

Happy times are made here!

I can relax and just have fun!

Little do we have a moment without a discovery!

Dreams are getting closer every day!

Really amazing teachers help us become better actors!

Everyone would enjoy what we do!

Never is there a dull moment!

Super people with amazing talent are found here!

This is the only place where teens can have fun being outgoing and crazy!

Helping each other reach our dreams is what we do best!

Each person is so important to the group!

Acting foundations are formed!

Teaching is done by the kids too, because we definetly teach each other!

Rockstars is what Ms. Aime calls us!

Even if I'm having a terrible day, being here always cheers me up!

Czechoslovakia is my favorite warm-up!

Offering our best, we participate!

Many talented poeple work together to create something fenomenal!

Participating is never embarrassing...only fun!

Amazing kids are in Companies who are super nice!

Nice volunteering opportunities for us to have fun and see super shows!

Poetry Marathon Day 2: State Champs 4x400

State Champs 4x400

She runs down the track,

Never glancing back.

My cousin

She flies like a bird,

Beating the rest of the herd.

My cousin

The track urges her on.

All else is gone.

My cousin

Suddenly a gasp arises from the crowd.

A girl appears. A neck to neck race is found.

My cousin

She runs on the inside,

But the other girl doesn’t fall behind.

My cousin

The finish line is growing near.

The race is so close. We all have fear.

My cousin

She thrusts her front out,

But we are still in doubt.

My cousin

She passes the line.

Who was behind?

My cousin?

It’s too close to call.

Time seems to crawl.

My cousin?

We don’t want the worst,

But did her feet pass first?

My cousin?

Cheers for her start to rise,

For there are no lies.

Her speed was the best.

She had helped her relay team beat the rest.

My cousin

Poetry Marathon Day 1: Puppet Master

Puppet Master

I am walking alone

By myself

With no one else

But myself

A great darkness comes around me

Covering me

Surrounding me

Flowing over me

The darkness pulls me

Yanks me

Grabs my power

Takes my power

Then the darkness pulls me

Again

Harder

Yet more smoothly

I find strength in me

From deep inside

Down in me

In my heart

I start to turn

The darkness

It moves too

With me

I gather up all of my strength

Rein in the darkness

Knock it to the ground

Win the battle

The darkness tries to get back up

But I jump

And land

The darkness falls

I stand alone

But realize

Something new

Something amazing

The darkness is

My puppet

My control

My problems

But I am

In control

In charge

The puppet master
